Nyandarua County Assembly Making Nyandarua Better

Pursuant to Section 9A of the County Governments Act, 2012, there shall be a deputy speaker for each county assembly who shall be elected by the county assembly, in accordance with standing orders of the respective county assemblies, from among the members of that county assembly.
According to paragraph 18 of the Nyandarua County Assembly Standing Orders, the Speaker shall preside at any sitting of the Assembly but in absence of the Speaker, the Deputy Speaker shall preside and in absence of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker, a member of the Chairpersons Panel shall preside.
